Alberta Oil & Gas Exceeds Cleanup Goals: Read the Latest Industry Insights

EnergyNow published a great article today highlighting the fantastic progress the oil & gas industry is making in proactively decommissioning and reclaiming the inactive inventory in Western Canada. For the 2nd year in a row, oil & gas operators have spent more than required on closure activities, based on their mandatory spends. In 2023, $923 million was spent on closure activities (surpassing the mandatory spend by 22%), and 2024 is on track to exceed the industry mandatory spend of $700 million. In 2025, the industry-wide mandatory spend will increase to $750 million.

Celebrating the Accomplishments of 3 Standout Youth Riders from The Bike Shop Racing Team

360 is proud to be sponsoring The Bike Shop Racing team again this year; a partnership that aligns perfectly with our shared commitment to community support and our focus on promoting health and wellness. As the race season wraps up, we’re excited to highlight the achievements of three exceptional youth riders who demonstrated grit, dedication, and resilience both on and off the track. This season, they faced grueling training hours, tough weather conditions, and relentless competition—each challenge met with determination and heart. From intense solo rides to podium finishes and even navigating international courses, these athletes have demonstrated the tenacity and growth that make them true ambassadors for the sport. Here are the 2024 highlights from three inspiring members of the team:

Ella Myers

This season, Ella took on a full calendar of high-profile mountain biking events, including the Canada Cups, World Cups, and the Pan American Championships. She achieved a 2nd place in the elite women’s race at the Canmore Canada Cup and placed 31st at the Mont Sainte Anne U23 World Cup. Ella also completed her first gravel race, finishing 11th in the Canadian National Championships’ Elite Women’s field, and wrapped up her season with a 5th place finish at the Enduro National Championships in BC.

Colton Zabolotney

Colton describes his season’s proudest moment as completing the challenging Category 1/2 Wix Brown Circuit Race in Vancouver, where he persevered through a solo ride after being dropped early on. He bounced back the next day, finishing mid-pack and showing incredible resolve. Colton’s dedication paid off at the 2024 Canadian Gravel Championships in Water Valley, AB, where he braved rain and freezing temperatures to clinch the Junior (17-18) Men’s Championship.

Luke Pulford

Luke made a strong start to the season with a podium finish at the Salty Dog mountain bike race and has been balancing his intense training with his other team responsibilities. Known for his quiet determination and standout mullet, Luke proudly represents 360’s Mullets for Mental Health campaign. As he develops his skills in elite cyclocross, he’s already gearing up to shift his focus to road cycling in 2025.

360 becomes qualified validator for CarbonPath’s Methane Emission Reduction projects

360 is proud to announce that we are now a qualified third-party validator for the CarbonPath Methodology, which focuses on reducing methane emissions through the permanent decommissioning of orphaned and abandoned oil and gas wellbores. As a data and measurement validator, 360 will play a key role in verifying the effectiveness of these emission reduction projects, supporting the generation of carbon credits.

This qualification allows us to contribute to sustainable environmental initiatives by ensuring that methane removal projects meet strict validation standards. Huge thank you to the PSD Citywide team for teaming up and collaborating on how to support municipalities in managing assets, assessing ARO, and planning for a safe and prosperous future for their residents.
